Yes, but screwing it up is irrelevant if both people believe in your definition of marriage. No matter how bad people fuck up a marriage, if they understand what it is and what it means to be married, then they will stay together. Usually though, people who say that marriage is a lifelong commitment prove that they can say the words but not follow through with the action. I think I like this definition the best so far. It shows that a marriage commitment is something we have to work on everyday. It's not the stupid fairytale and the chick in the pretty white dress and the groom in his tux saying their silly vows and that's the end of it. It's a constant process, it's constant work, it's not easy, it's not a fairytale, it's not hollywood. It's a commitment that both people need to make to each other every day.

Marriage license should be like a drivers license, you have to renew it every 5 years. That way, it saves alot of court time

What is marriage, to you? Something that I will define, with the other party involved, in its own time. Provided, of course, that I decide to do it again.

My grandmother and him seperated when my dad was a boy and they never divorced because it was against his beliefs. He lived a minimum of 2 hours from her and paid her bills. She was an ugly person on the inside.
