so i went back to my orthopedic surgeon today about my hip....
[glow=red,2,300]after 10+ years of pain, i am officially having a total hip replacement on november 25th!!!!!! [/glow]
i can't freakin' wait.
not so thrilled about spending thanksgiving in the hospital, but wah. i'll get over it to be able to be relatively pain-free after healing.

Congrats. I know many people who have successfully had hip replacement and it has significantly added to the quality of their lives. (Though if you're still managing to crawl into walls, you're doing pretty darn well either way!)

(Though if you're still managing to crawl into walls, you're doing pretty darn well either way!) yeah, well......lol the thing is around here, that if i don't do it, no one else will. my husband is not exactly the ........ uh ........ mechanically inclined type and with his current schedule most of the time it's just easier for me to do the stuff that needs to be done, although i pay for it later. besides the prescription stuff that i take every day, i buy tylenol in the convenient economy sized bottles (although taking tylenol for this pain is a little like putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound). there are days that i can function relatively well. but then there are days like yesterday where i'm in tears from the pain trying to get through the grocery store. i'm ready to get this done and over with. 19 more days.

6 more days..... i went for the pre-op stuff yesterday and am now on antibiotics for a mild uti.......ick. and with the antibiotics, i have to avoid caffeine . and i can't take my pain pill anymore to get it out of my system. so i'm now in pain AND without caffeine. it's the first day and i'm already ready to kill someone. *looking around* wonder where my ex is............
