I broke up with my bf right after Thanksgiving. He left quite a bit of stuff at my house, and had some paperwork I needed. Since he had some legal papers I needed I stayed in contact sporadically. He had promised me several times when he was in town that he would either meet me somewhere, or drop it by the house, which he never did.
The day I found out that he had "borrowed" my daughter's house key and never told me, nor gave it back to R, I contacted h him that he had until that weekend to either come pick up what he had left here, or make arraingments for it. He's never made arrangements, and contacted me last week and asked if he could stop by my work and pick up a couple of things from me.
I brushed him off then because after we broke up he hasn't had any follow through on what he was supposed to do. Today I finally got the legal papers from the company I needed and sent him another text that I was serious when I said I would donate his stuff to the Salvation Army when he didn't come by and get it, and that he had no reason to contact me again because I had gotten the paperwork I needed.
Maybe now he will leave me alone and quite contacting me to try and figure out what I am up to and to bitch about how bad his llife is now. I've been polite when he calls, but he hasn't gotten the picture that I won't ask him back and my life is no longer any of his business. I guess I should have ignored his calls, but he kept calling and it would get on my nerves.
My neighbor, whom I've had a rocky relationship with has been much more of a friend and a companion through the rough time I've had over the last month or so. When he found out my grandmother died, HE called me to see how I was doing. All I got from the exbf was a text saying "I'm sorry".
Maybe now I will have peace and quite and my annoyance level will go down.
