The Year is 2008...don't know where I am headed yet...but follow me !!!! We miss you Mags...hope you come back! I Walk The Line ~ Johnny Cash I keep a close watch on this heart of mine I keep my eyes wide open all the time I keep the ends out for the tie that binds Because you're mine, I walk the line I find it very, very easy to be true I find myself alone when each day is through Yes, I'll admit that I'm a fool for you Because you're mine, I walk the line As sure as night is dark and day is light I keep you on my mind both day and night And happiness I've known proves that it's right Because you're mine, I walk the line You've got a way to keep me on your side You give me cause for love that I can't hide For you I know I'd even try to turn the tide Because you're mine, I walk the line I keep a close watch on this heart of mine I keep my eyes wide open all the time I keep the ends out for the tie that binds Because you're mine, I walk the line

Hey, I never followed this thread on Ojar, what is it about, what are the rules, I want to play! You have to post lyrics to a song that is related in theme to the song posted before it. Or, quote a line in the song above that relates to the song you're posting. We (me especially) were fairly lax about how strong the relation needed to be.

Dead Man's Party-Oingo Boingo I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder Waiting for an invitation to arrive Goin' to a party where no one's still alive CHORUS I was struck by lighting Walkin' down the street I was hit by something last night in my sleep It's a dead man's party Who could ask for more Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door Leave your body and soul at the door . . . (Don't run away it's only me) All dressed up with nowhere to go Walkin' with a dead man Waitin' for an invitation to arrive With a dead man . . . Dead Man . . . Got my best suit and my tie Shiny silver dollar on either eye I hear the chauffeur comin' to the door Says there's room for maybe just one more . . . CHORUS Don't run away it's only me Don't be afraid of what you can't see Don't run away it's only me . . . That was probably a good example of a questionable relatation between tunes...

Don't run away it's only me Don't be afraid of what you can't see Don't run away it's only me . . Bright Lights- Matchbox 20 She got out of town On a railway New York bound Took all except my name Another alien on Broadway There's some things in this world You just can't change Somethings you can't see Until it gets too late Baby, baby, baby When all your love is gone Who will save me From all I'm up against out in this world Maybe, maybe, maybe You'll find something That's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around And come on home I got a hole in me now I got a scar I can talk about She keeps a picture of me In her apartment in the city Some things in this world Man, they don't make sense Some things you don't need Until they leave you And they're things that you miss Baby, baby, baby When all your love is gone Who will save me From all I'm up against out in this world Maybe, maybe, maybe You'll find something That's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around And come on home Let that city take you in, come on home Let that city spit you out, come on home Let that city take you down, yeah For God's sake turn around Baby, baby, baby When all your love is gone Who will save me From all I'm up against in this world Maybe, maybe, maybe You'll find something That's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around And come on home Come on home Baby, baby, baby Come on home Yeah, come on home Yeah, come on home

But if the bright lights don't receive you Lazy Eye-Silversun Pickups I've been waiting I've been waiting for this moment all my life But it's not quite right And this 'real' It's impossible if possible At who's blind word So clear but so unheard I've been waiting I've been waiting for this silence all night long It's just a matter of time To appear sad With the same 'ol decent lazy eye Fixed to rest on you Aim free and so untrue Everyone's so intimately rearranged Everyone can focus clearly with such shine Everyone's so intimately rearranged Everyone can focus clearly with such shine Lost and loaded Still the same 'ol decent lazy eye Straight through your gaze That's why i said i relate I said we relate It's so fun to relate It's the room the sun and the sky It's the room the sun and the sky I've been waiting I've been waiting for this moment... www.youtube.com/watch?v=twL3ms4bjZk

I've Been Waiting for a Girl Like You ~ Foreigner So long I've been looking too hard, I've waiting too long Sometimes I don't know what I will find I only know it's a matter of time When you love someone When you love someone It feels so right, so warm and true I need to know if you feel it too Maybe I'm wrong Won't you tell me if I'm coming on too strong? This heart of mine has been hurt before This time I wanna be sure I've been waiting for a girl like you To come into my life I've been waiting for a girl like you A love that will survive I've been waiting for someone new To make me feel alive Yeah, waiting for a girl like you To come into my life You're so good When we make love it's understood It's more than a touch or a word we say Only in dreams could it be this way When you love someone Yeah, really love someone Now, I know it's right From the moment I wake up till deep in the night There's no where on earth that I'd rather be Than holding you, tenderly I've been waiting for a girl like you To come into my life I've been waiting for a girl like you And a love that will survive I've been waiting for someone new To make me feel alive Yeah, waiting for a girl like you To come into my life I've been waiting, waiting for you, ooh Ooh, I've been waiting I've been waiting, yeah I've been waiting for a girl like you I've been waiting Won't you come into my life? My life?

I only know it's a matter of time What's My Age Again?-Blink 182 I took her out it was Friday night I wore cologne to get the feeling right We started making out and she took off my pants But then I turned on the TV And that's about the time that she walked away from meNobody likes you when you're 23 And are still more amused by TV shows What the hell is ADD? My friends say I should act my age What's my age again? What's my age again? Then later on, on the drive home I called her mom from a pay phone I said I was the cops And your husband's in jail This state looks down on sodomy And that's about the time that bitch hung up on me Nobody likes you when your 23 And are still more amused by prank phone calls What the hell is caller ID? My friends say I should act my age What's my age again? What's my age again? And that's about the time she walked away from me Nobody likes you when your 23 And you still act like you're in Freshman year What the hell is wrong with me? My friends say I should act my age What's my age again? What's my age again? That's about the time she broke up with me No one should take themselves so seriously With many years ahead to fall in line Why would you wish that on me? I never want to act my age What's my age again? What's my age again?

And you still act like you're in Freshman year The Freshman -- The Verve Pipe When I was young I knew everything She a punk who rarely ever took advice Now I'm guilt stricken, Sobbing with my head on the floor Stop a baby's breath and a shoe full of rice I can't be held responsible She was touching her face I won't be held responsible She fell in love in the first place For the life of me I cannot remember What made us think that we were wise and We'd never compromise For the life of me I cannot believe We'd ever die for these sins We were merely freshmen My best friend took a week's Vacation to forget her His girl took a weeks's worth of Valium and slept And now he's guilt stricken sobbing with his Head on the floor Thinks about her now and how he never really Wept he says I can't be held responsible She was touching her face I won't be held responsible She fell in love in the first place For the life of me I cannot remember What made us think that we were wise and We'd never compromise For the life of me I cannot believe We'd ever die for these sins We were merely freshmen hey yeah hey yeah hey yeah We've tried to wash our hands of all this We never talk of our lacking relationships And how we're guilt stricken sobbing with our Heads on the floor We fell through the ice when we tried not to Slip, we'd say I can't be held responsible She was touching her face And I won't be held responsible She fell in love in the first place For the life of me I cannot remember What made us think that we were wise and We'd never compromise For the life of me I cannot believe We'd ever die for these sins We were merely freshmen For the life of me I cannot remember What made us think that we were wise and We'd never compromise For the life of me I cannot believe We'd ever die for these sins We were merely freshmen We were merely freshmen

For Blue Skies~ Strays Dont Sleep
It’s been a long year Since we last spoke How’s your halo? Just between you and I You and me and the satellites I never believed you I only wanted to Before all of this What did I miss? Do you ever get homesick? I can’t get used to it I can’t get used to it I’ll never get used to it I’ll never get used to it
I’m under that night I’m under those same stars We’re in a red car You asleep at my side Going in and out of the headlights Could I have saved you? Would that’ve betrayed you? I wanna burn this film You alone with those pills What you couldn’t do I will I forgive you I’ll forgive you I’ll forgive you I forgive you
For blue, blue skies For blue, blue skies For blue, blue skies For blue, blue skies
I’ll forgive you [x16]

Blue skies ~ Irving Berlin I was blue, just as blue as I could be Every day was a cloudy day for me Then good luck came a-knocking at my door Skies were gray but theyre not gray anymore Blue skies Smiling at me Nothing but blue skies Do I see Bluebirds Singing a song Nothing but bluebirds All day long Never saw the sun shining so bright Never saw things going so right Noticing the days hurrying by When youre in love, my how they fly Blue days All of them gone Nothing but blue skies From now on [2] I should care if the wind blows east or west I should fret if the worst looks like the best I should mind if they say it cant be true I should smile, thats exactly what I do

The Distance-Cake Reluctantly crouched at the starting line Engines pumping and thumping in time. The green light flashes, the flags go up. Churning and burning they yearn for the cup. They deftly manuver and muscle for rank, Fuel burning fast on an empty tank. Reckless and wild they pour through the turns. Their prowess is potent and secretly stern. As they speed through the finish the flags go down. The fans get up and they get out of town. The arena is empty except for one man, Still driving and striving as fast as he can. The sun has gone down and the moon has come up, And long ago somebody left with the cup. But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns, And thinking of someone for whom he still burns. (chorus) He's going the distance, He's going for speed. She's all alone (all alone) all alone in her time of need. Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course. He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse. He's going the distance......aaaahhhhh aaahhhhh..... No trophy, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no line- He's haunted by something he can not define. Bowel shaking earthquakes, of doubt and remorse. Assail him impale him with monster truck force. In his mind he's still driving-still making the grade. She's hoping in time that her memory will fade. Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course. He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse. The sun has gone down and the moon has come up. And long ago somebody left with the cup But he's striving and driving and hugging the turns, And thinking of someone for whom he still burns. (chorus) aaahhhhhhhh aaahhhhhhhhhhh.............. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT7a4Ln2AeE&feature=related

Times Like These~~Foo Fighters
I am a one way motorway I'm the one that drives away then follows you back home I am a street light shining I'm a wild light blinding bright burning off alone
it's times like these you learn to live again it's times like these you give and give again it's times like these you learn to love again it's times like these time and time again
I am a new day rising I'm a brand new sky to hang the stars upon tonight I am a little divided do I stay or run away and leave it all behind?
it's times like these you learn to live again it's times like these you give and give again it's times like these you learn to love again it's times like these time and time again

Hide Behind My Glasses-Fishbone I like to hide behind my glasses When I feel uptight I like to hide behind my glasses When I’m trippin’ in the strobelight Hide behind my glasses So I can give you all dirty looks Like I hate you Incompetent... moron... son of a... son of a... son of jerk ! In another world behind the shaded lens Doctor Jekyll, Mr. Hyde, lurk insideIn another world behind the shaded lens Doctor Jekyll, Mr. Hyde, lurk inside I like to hide behind my glasses So I can disappear to run and hide I like to hide behind my glasses So in myself I can confide I like to hide behind my glasses So I can make the boss the little man I’ll take my underdog supersauce pill To beat the bullies and save the land To beat the bullies and save the land And sa-ave, sa-ave, sa-ave, save the land ! But when I take off my glasses I shrink down again They interrupt my psychedelic kingdom and They think they can whip me With my silver pen So don’t ask me why I put on my glasses again ! Don’t ask me why I put on my glasses again ! I must repeat myself, because I have to win ! So don’t ask me why I put on my glasses again ! I like to hide behind my glasses (repeat) When I’m trippin’ in the strobelight (repeat) Angelo Moore-Frontman/God
