Does anyone else hear that buzzing noise? Anyone? Hmmm, for a guy who considers my posts completely worthless you sure do make it a point to quote and reply to them rather regularly You must enjoy the taste of your own foot.

You're anonymous. Who cares?
Me, not so anonymous. Several on here including Kermie know who I am in real life. But I don't really care about what I say. I guess I should.

you are not anonymous if someone knows your userid. But they don't know you in real life. Sure, on the forums you develop a persona, but so what?

I guess it seems obvious to me, that if I am concerned about someone reading what I am writing, then I would obviously know them and they would know me - in real life. Ergo, I would not be anonymous would I?

You'd either have to have told them both your username and the name of the site you're posting on or left the site up on your computer when they had access to it.

It's highly doubtful that someone you know will read your story online and say, "I know that guy!" and actually be right.

and that is exactly what I am scared about because that is what has happened. The typedurl contains the address and they know my user name. Granted I could go into the registry, delete the registry entry and numerically renumber the entries so it would go away..but that is a pain to do....
Means - therefore. That is assuming that I have spelled it correctly.

That is assuming that I have spelled it correctly. If you think that has happened, you should probably delete any posts that you wouldn't want them to know about and change your username. I spose that you could confront them but that opens up another can of worms. Plus, there's the possibility that you're just being paranoid and they didn't invade your privacy to begin with.

Cant we just make it so guests cant see? And ya, people find people if they want to. Ive been found although not lately, knock on wood. And look at Lady J...perfect example.
I dont leave a google trail but if someone wants to find you then they can likely find you. Although I guess it really doesnt matter as we cant even see what users are looking at anymore either.
PS~~not bitching here, just discussing!
