We were planning this for weeks! We got the recipe, went shopping for the ingredients... The grocery bill was a bit steep, but of course many of the items were one shot deals...like the flour, the salt, the vanilla extract will last for another 10 years...but $40 for ingredients? So we got back to my place and started cooking. A few "mistakes" were made. The first picture is the intended result. The second was what came out of the oven.

that's so something i would do. i don't think b&w cookies are meant to be made at home. they are meant to be purchased in nyc bakeries only.

The next batch came out much better! I will post the pic later on this evening, its in my camera at home.
-the icing was made thicker the second time around so it didnt run -the icing was put on the flat side of the cookie not the curved side (which is supposed to be the bottom) -the cookies burned the first time because my oven is too hot so we lowered the temp
Who knew it takes practice to get them right?
They taste great by the way...the second time around

Here is the second batch. They tasted better than the storebought ones, I ate like four of them today already.

But...but...that great figure of yours...oh well you're a big girl...I mean a little girl...um...whatever... Here's the link: (remember- flat side of cookie UP, don't let the bottoms burn, keep the frosting thick or it will run off the cookie) www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/106171

Yes, I know you could have googled it but you probably wanted to use my recipe so you can post a picture of your cookies which I am sure will come out much prettier and you can say haha look at mine.
