Rocko, I'm sending good thoughts your way. Hope the dog is going to be okay. Please keep us posted. I hate to see animals suffer for any reason. Cute dogs good. Mine helps herself to the furniture too. Guess that's why they call it Fur-niture. I agree, cute kids murdy.

Thanks for the update rocko... I will keep checkin in with you. It is so hard to loose a family member... even if it is a dog. My husband and I were talking about Blu and how we feel so madly in love with him already. I don't know what we are gonna do when it is his time. I shed a tear thinking about it. When my parents divorced our family dog died 6 months later... I didn't things could get any worse... but they did. I had a hole in my heart the size of Texas.

1200 for the surgery and he at best will be wobbly. He would be able to poo and pee on his own. Long term meds.

Sorry to hear it rocko. That sucks. I hope he gets better soon. Murd, have you considered an obedience class? They're kind of fun and it's good for your puppy to meet other puppies anyway. How old is he/she? I don't think you can expect a puppy to stay for very long, anyway. They do mellow out as they get older, though. It only took mine about three or four years... ;D Now she'll stay for several minutes. More if she knows I've got a snack in hand... Action shot...

I am not sure yet, but dad is leaning toward putting him to sleep. I think it is the best choice. Money isn't a factor, but quality of life for Gus is huge.

GD... my dog is an Australian Shepherd.. his birthday is December 23, 2007, which makes him about 3 months now. I wanted a guard dog. This is what I got. I was told by the breeder that he was the energetic one of the liter. He was the biggest one of the bunch. I kinda had a feeling that I was asking for trouble... but with my personality I welcomed it. He is full of energy and hard to tire out... but he is just what this family needed. You should see him when the pizza guy shows up. Blu is little and the guy was backing off the porch... even though I hadn't even opened the security gate. He is going to be a handful... but he is so smart and you can see in his eyes he wants to please us. He is also herding us like sheep.

Yep i have heard the same thing about shepherds and border collies herding the family... I have seen border collies take chard of sheep in New Zealand and it is quite impressive.
They are a working dog and they love to do it! Good luck, he's going to need a lot of stimulation. My own dog is a retriever/aerdale mutt and I can hardly keep up with her. Of course, she naps all day long and then is wired when I come home...
