6 freaking hours in the ER last night. I am beyond wiped out. Buddy had an allergic reaction to his antibiotic.
His hands and face swelled up and he was wheezing for a bit (that was the worst part). It looked like his hands had been stuck in scalding water, the blisters were so bad.
He's doing ok now, but we didn't get home until 6 am. No more penicillin based antibiotics for him.

Oh my gosh, girl! You must be wiped!!!!!! Poor little guy. My son had a similar reaction to Lorbid (not blisters though....scary!!) Sending positive energy your way for both of you. I don't recall exactly how old he is, but good thing you found out now and all turned out okay. Bob's son is allergic to latex. Imagine that! To hear him tell the story is both heartbreaking and funny!! Only Bob can spin something like that. I just saw a surgeon that asked (the very first one) if I had an allergy to latex. Get him settled, turn your phone on silent and get some rest, girl! Let us know how you and the little guy are later? Crushy

He's 10, but non verbal.
He's doing better thanks to the benedryl, a bit cranky at times because of the rash and that. He will be ok, but it was a long night.

Poor thing (you and him both, really)! It's not a suprise that you're wiped out. Glad to hear he is doing better though.
