Wakes up every morning around 3 or 4 a.m. like clock work on the weeknites. At times i try and just ignore him, because sometimes there's nothing a sippy cup, or pacifier would help comfort him, i sometimes give him tylonel because i think he's in some kind of pain because of teething maybe??.. why the hell is this happening?!!! on the weekends, he's fine, he'll sleep soundly through the nite. arrrghhhhh...i sometimes don't understand... he can't talk yet, and it gets frustrating that i just want to jump out the friggen window and splatter my brains all over the alley. seriously.

does he get up earlier on the weekdays? my son harley is like that. he woke up last night in fact.... anyway, if he gets overtired, from either getting up too early or not taking a good enough nap, he doesnt sleep very well.. you would think the exact opposite would be true.

well according to my sitter, he naps regurlarly in the afternoon, around 12, sometimes at 2, for like 45 min. to 1 hour, and then we pick him up around 5p.m., by the time we get home, i shower him, feed him dinner, then i could tell he's all pooped out from the day, he goes down around 7pm. does he get up earlier on the weekdays? my son harley is like that. he woke up last night in fact.... anyway, if he gets overtired, from either getting up too early or not taking a good enough nap, he doesnt sleep very well.. you would think the exact opposite would be true. to be honest, i researched this and got the same exact thing. They said that if he does NOT nap in the daytime, he's sleep deprived, thus causing him wake up in the middle of night. its sooo weird. but in my case, he's napping during the daytime, once, rarely sometimes twice...so i just don't know.

the boooger finally fell asleep, and then we BOTH didnt get up until 735 a.m. which is totally behind schedule for me....i didnt have time to do my makeup, we super rushed out the house.

Is he napping the same at the sitter's place. Is it quiet enough for him there? Could she make sure he lays down at noon for one hour no matter what? Try to encourage his schedule to be more strict. Then you can manipulate it. Does he nap on the weekends?

oh yes he naps on the weekends, sometimes, he naps about 3 hours! but yes, all the children pretty much nap around the same time, so its definitely quiet. I imagine that when all the children wake up from their naps, that they all go and play, or do whatever for 3 hours.
I also told my sitter that sometimes he doesnt want to take a nap, but NEEDS it, to just leave him in the crib and he'll eventually knock out. (He's very stubborn sometimes)

When I worked daycare. I was required to make EVERY child lay there for one hour with NOTHING to do. THen after one hour I could give them something to do quietly on his or her mat.
90% of the kids napped. I would rub the backs of the ones who had trouble falling asleep. Actually I spent a little time with each one.
If he is napping for longer on the weekends and sleeping better. HE must need more nap during the week.

I would say teething... except it's only on the weekdays. I would go with JC and Rocko on this one, he probably needs a little more nap time during the week. BUT I am sure that is not an easy thing to accomplish with all the activity at daycare.
