A must see for any Stephen King fans. Directed by Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile). Survival horror at it's best with a nasty twist at the end. Sweet F/X.

The ending pissed me off. I liked the novella ending better... I do like the open-ended way that King ends many stories but I thought this ending was more suitable for a movie.

The only way it could have been worse is have the bad people at the store
riding by on a army truck smiling and waving at him after all that

Do you think it would have been better if it ended with the main character running through a field of flowers and fuzzy bunnies and shiat?

That one and the one about the doctor/drug runner who gets marooned on the beach and winds up cannibalizing himself...

That one and the one about the doctor/drug runner who gets marooned on the beach and winds up cannibalizing himself... Survivor Type. Skeleton Crew and Night Shift are both chocked full of nastiness. I think The Jaunt is my all time favorite short story of his.
