I haven't lived in anything that was mine since I went to college. I rented and lived in my ex's house. Even after he and I bought and renovated a 1900 house, I didn't feel like it was mine.
Yesterday, I made an offer on a 1966 cinder block house with a well on 2 acres in a great school district and 22 minutes from work. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. The only thing I'm nervous about is paint color and decorating.
I should know by noon on Monday if the seller will agree to the terms in the offer.
It will be so awesome if it happens. It will be mine.
