Michael never takes a vacation! Even when he goes home to Australia, he keeps working on whatever latest project... ;D
He asked me why I wanted it back, once... I explained, but he never responded. I think if people post to the thread, petition-like, it might motivate him...

As someone on Hugthat told me.....
"Every board has its day...."
Think that was pretty true.
I think Michael is letting it "MoveOn.Org"...so to speak.

I liked Ojar but I like HugThat too....thanks Kermie! I think Michael had just finally had enough of it and wanted to move on.

I think Michael had just finally had enough of it and wanted to move on. This was my thinking from the very first mention of closing it "temporarily"

My reason for wanting it back is much the same one that I said about this board... Love you Kermie - and VERY much appreciate you giving us this board - but we don't attract newbies like ojar did. We don't have the history, the searchability, the other features, here. Without increases in numbers, this board will eventually die. There just won't be enough action to keep it going. Ojar didn't have that problem.
One thing hugthat currently has going for it (that ojar didn't, at the end) is no trolling is occuring now. It may make it a bit quieter, but it is also a peaceful and safe place to come to. I like that.
I still hope he brings it back - whether he will or not, I will hold that hope. There is a light in the darkness that was snuffed when he closed that board.

Actually Ojar had the exact same thing going on towards the end that HT is going through right now... the only thing keeping it alive at the time was (weither you want to admit it or not) were the trolls. It was the Chaos's and the wizers that were breathing life into what was slowly dying. Look at this board as an example of just that.. once the drama was gone and things were not so Jerry Springer the posts dropped off. National Enquirer sells for a reason.. strip clubs are one of the few businesses that make money their first year out. Whens the last time you turned on the news and saw nothing but good things.. things about hope and people helping others. Those stories are few and far between.. scattered amongst the killings, robberies.. stupid people caught on tape. You think it was by some freak accident that those stories took over the news. Nope. Its called ratings. they found what people wat to watch. The Internet.. this board is no different just another medium for drama. No drama no viewers. I have even noticed it on the new board. People are slowly fading back a little because the drama is dying down. Its human nature weither we like it or not.
Sad thing is there are very few people with a honest will to help their fellow man/woman instead of seeing them face turmoil. If I have but a few of those kind of people here then that is all that I could ask for. I will take two decent people in this world over a hundred that would rather see me fall on my face for their own amusement.
