I hope your son continues successfully on his road to recovery. Does he have a home health care aide? If so, hopefully s/he can do something about the bedsore situation. I totally understand the fear of infection. And sending strength to YOU to get through this while being more removed than you'd like...

oh Bob, My mom used to get bedsores. Yuck! I remember packing them with gauze two or three times a day. (shudders) Stay on top of them. Good luck

We have to "turn" Scotty every four hours on his left hip, but he can lie on his right hip for 8. Hopefully before he gets worse he will find the amount he needs to be on each side without getting sores.
