Oh get off your high horse there Mr. Do you know what happened to young girls in Colorado City, AZ? Do you have any idea what goes on behind closed doors in this country? Do you know how many kids on this soil go hungry and are abused every day? Do you know how many women are beaten or killed by a so called loved one in the US every year for similar offences? But these isolated incidents are not atrocities that are permitted or commited by our government. We arrested and convicted Jeffs for rape. Polygamy is against the law. Child abuse is illegal. And when's the last time you heard of child in this country dying due to starvation? Instead of feebly attempting to draw correlations with our country and the countries under Islamic rule, why not inform yourself?

Yet again you failed to see my point. There are major problems right here that need to be fixed. On your travels around the world you missed what is happening on your own soil. And yes, starvation happens every day in this country.

I asked before, I guess I'll ask again. When's the last time you heard of a child dying of starvation in this country? Perhaps you can find a link to it somewhere. Fact is, starvation is not a problem that America faces. You, finding, are trying to spin the discussion in your favor to support your point of view by making false statements. You obviously know nothing of starvation and probably have never seen a starving individual, let alone an entire village full of starving people. So maybe you should just let it go.

Oh yeah, I'm just an ignorant woman. I could go diging for a link somewhere about someone starving, but that wouldn't matter. I've seen it with my own two eyes. But oh yeah, I've never been handed a baby right here in the good ol' US who was malnurashed and wouldn't have made it through the night if medical care hadn't been gotten immediately, and I haven't been on the receiving end of starvation myself, and I have never not had a roof over my head. I guess I'm just an ignorant American woman and those things are just a figment of my imagination. I haven't had rocks, or a knife thrown at me either, nor my life threatened in other ways because I had a view that differed from their religious views. Those things never happen here.

Phoenixx, please don't compare what goes on in Zimbabwe with what goes on in America. Zimbabweans are starving to death because of their dictator. It makes you look ignorant when you compare Robert Mugabe to George Bush. Blazing, I didn't compare the two. I didn't say America (or George Bush) is like Zimbabwe (or Mugabe). But both leaders SUCK. And by the way - it makes YOU look ignorant when I have stated time and time again that ISLAM itself is not the bad thing here, it is the people that commit atrocities that are bad. Those so-called "Islamic rules" are not Islamic at all. I have backed my arguments up with excerpts from the Quran, the only place where Sharia Law is written, I have explained the methodology behind my arguments. Where is your proof? All you have are news articles. Thats all. How many times can I say "its not Islamic" and prove its not. You have blatantly ignored my posts that explain what actual Islam is and the differences between actual Sharia Law and the misunderstandings portrayed as Sharia Law. A little beyond ignorance, wouldn't you say? Well...old dogs, new tricks and all that.... I think I'm done with this futile argument.

I guess I'm just an ignorant American woman and those things are just a figment of my imagination. Sorry finding. I don't buy it. Starvation is not a problem in the u.s., period. The fact is, our children do not die of starvation. We have food surplus' in this nation. We have welfare, foodstamps, soup kitchens in abundance. So you had a baby that was neglected by it's parents and not fed, that's not because we have a starvation problem in this country, that's a problem of neglect by parents. And maybe you didn't have a fridge full of food all the time growing up, but you ate didn't you? Maybe you didn't eat as much as you would've liked, but you ate. And if your parents couldn't afford to buy food, they had the option to go to the welfare office and collect food stamps or go to a soup kitchen or a church. You can do that in any city in any state in the u.s. Let me ask you finding. What's longest you've gone with nothing to eat? The fact is, in this country, people don't starve. We have programs that provide for hungry people. Finding, if consider being hungy and starving the same thing, then you don't know what starvation is. They aren't the same thing. So please, get off this little kick of yours. The u.s. simply does not have a problem with starvation, period.

That's surprising seeing as you know so little of what goes on within your own religion. The fact is, it is your religious leaders that impose sharia law. This issue their fatwas and they oppress their followers according to their interpretation of the Quran. Did you know that in Saudia Arabia the Quran is the national Constitution? They use the Quran to dictate laws to the people. So i'm sorry phoenixx, you're wrong. Present day Islam does use the Quran as a means to oppress it's followers by the millions. The Quran is the book of Islam. And the Quran is what the Ayatollahs, imams, and mullahs use as their means of justification for the atrocities they commit.

Says it all, how Freckles? And here I thought there was hope for you. *rolls eyes*
I think its funny that western countries are so fixed on being open-minded. I think its rather funny that at the same time some people will read one thing and completely accept it as true, even when the proof as to otherwise is shoved in their faces time and time again. Such ignorance in countries that claim to be so enlightened!
Blazing - yes I am Muslim. I stated that very early on. Perhaps you have not been reading my posts carefully enough? This is getting extremely tiring so after this I will bow out. I love debating but repeating myself endlessly is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Islam has no religious leaders. We have no equivalents of pastors, etc. Imams are just people who have studied the religion. They are only supposed to be wise men and are not meant to be followed. Those people who are using Islam as an excuse are not following the religion as it is meant to. Millions of people know this. If you really want to debate this with me please go and read a Quran and then discuss each point you have a problem with, with me and I will explain it. Otherwise this is really irritating. You are just jumping on a bandwagon I have explained is tethered to the wrong horse. Dont insult me by saying I dont know my religion. YOU dont know my religion. For someone who claims to be so well-read and intelligent its clear you've never picked up a Quran - which is the ONLY tool a Muslim is supposed to be using, since it is there and only there that the rules of Islam are written out.
Let me amend my earlier statement. I think I'm BORED of this futile argument.

Such ignorance in countries that claim to be so enlightened! Nobody is claiming to be enlighted. It's just that you refuse to accept that Islam is at the helm of one of the most oppresive and brutal world movements in the history of mankind. And there's a reason for that. Islam requires a person to subject their body and mind to the religion. From there on out the followers are pretty easy to manipulate. That would explain why genocide is taking place right now at the hands of a muslim government. And that, phoenixx, i've seen with my own two eyes.

I wonder how many times you can actually ignore what I am saying? You've done it every single time. Amazing actually.
These so-called leaders are causing atrocities and saying it is Islamic since its written in the Quran. I have read the Quran. Those atrocities are not written there. So therefore: it is not Islamic.
You (and others) believe those leaders when they say "these rules are Islamic because they written in the Quran." You (and others) have not read a Quran. Therefore you dont know wether it actually IS in the Quran.
Ergo: I think I know I'm talking about.
And also: ISLAM REQUIRES SOMEONE TO SUBMIT MIND AND BODY TO GOD, not to the religion. *shakes head*
