IT IS ONLY CABLE PEOPLE! I swear...........there are days (much like today) that I HATE my job. People call in screaming for their bill being too much, or their service being shut off because they didn't pay the bill, or channels not coming in, or something and they scream and yell and cuss and call me everything but a white woman, and I'm supposed to just sit here and take it.
Now, seriously, I understand the frustration because so many things have changed in the last couple months with all the conversion from one company to another.......but what THEY don't understand is this hasn't just been frustrating for them....it's also frustrating for us reps on the phone.
Guys, do me a favor, k? If you have a problem with your cell phone, or electric bill, or cable bill and you call in, realize that the person on the other end of the phone is only there to help, and don't unleash the unholy rath of a pissed off person on them. Whatever happened to your bill is NOT that person's fault, and you will get a lot further if you are nice and don't interrupt them when they try and talk.

If you hit the "Wrap" key in less than 2 minutes they don't QA the tape of the call. Just sayin'... And, Freck - she doesn't work for the one in your area - most likely I[/u] do...

I was hoping to find one of those TV Recorders that Dish Network uses
That Thingie that lets you Skip Commercals and record 300 hours and pause and skip
Can I hook one to my Regular Cable ?
If I can find one at the Thrift Store ?

I work in a local office, but take calls for the entire state. It's the other areas that need to have their collective asses kicked. I might get 1 or 2 calls from my area a day.....all the rest of them are because some MORON in another city or area gave the customer wrong information. It's just getting to the point where it is freaking stupid........

At the Thrift Store they cost about $5.00 to own it (If/when they have it)
Why would I want to pay $20.00 a month to *rent* it ?

The "service" is being able to use DVR or TIVO. The box won't do anything for you without the "service".
I pay about 15 extra (they say 10) for DVR and it is soooo worth it.
