are totally amazing. One of our staff has fallen ill, and hasn't gotten a paycheck in over 2 months because the short term disability people are jacking her around. Her husband is on ssi, and so they have barely been able to make ends meet when her checks were coming in, so things have gotten REALLY bad for them. She's a wonderful woman, and would give you the shirt off her back if she could. She was a HUGE support system for me during all 3 miscarriages, and I value her VERY much as a friend.
A couple of us got our heads together and decided to see if anyone would be willing to donate to her since she hasn't gotten paid in 2 months, and her hubby's ssi just isn't enough. We were able to collect almost $200. And this is a non pay week. I am amazed. The company may not be all the greatest, but the people who work here are awesome. We apparently really know how to band together when it affects one of our own!
R, J, and myself are going to go to her house tonight and give her what we've collected. I know it is going to make her cry, but we want to be able to help her in any way that we can.

Jennifer, that's wonderful. It's amazing what we can pitch in and help when we need too. I'm sure she'll be grateful. You are fortunate to work with caring people who will pull together in the time of need. Kudo's

That is awesome! I am so thankful to work in healthcare. It seems that giving is just a way of life and we always seem to be able to reach out whenever a patient, coworker or even another non-profit agency is in need.
