Really good movie, in the vein of "princess bride". I recommend it.

Agreed. Claire Danes is hawt, and De Niro is great in a way you'd never expect.

I've gotta check that one out. I love Neil Gaiman's stuff.

I'm all over the Gaiman stuff too, but I picked up the movie not knowing he was involved. I think he really saved "Beowulf" from being a pile of crap.

I was kinda turned off by all the CGI/Animation but I'll probably buy it when it comes out on DVD. I've been rereading a lot of his old Sandman comics. I love the way he works mythology into his stories. I think he's one of the best storytellers or our time.

Absolutely agree. "American Gods" was a really good novel, and I just finished reading "Anansi Boys" not too long ago. If you haven't yet got round to "Good Omens", his collaboration with Terry Pratchett (another of my faves), move it to the top of your list.
Need to surf to Gaiman's site to see what other projects he has in the hopper....

He's got a collection of short stories called Smoke and Mirrors which is solid as well. I highly recommend any of the Sandman trade paperbacks as well, particularly Season of the Mists. Some of the best comics ever written, IMHO.

Just saw Stardust last night. Excellent flick. It was better than I remember the book being.
