I have way too much going on all of the sudden and I feel like I'm going to explode.
My gallbladder is acting up and I need surgery. Could they schedule my sugery during the holiday shutdown? Oh hell no. Now I am going to have to take time off at the end of January to get it done.
My youngest went to the dr today and came out with referrals to three different specialists. More time off work and a whole lot more stress. Another sleep study and possibly surgery, a referral to an orthopedic surgeon, and another round of allergy testing.
The oldest boy needs to see an opthomologist--going to be a ton of fun.
They both just got done with their rounds in the dentist's chair. One boy needing two visits with "twilight sleep" and the other a full sedation.
No one at the university bothered to notify me that classes resume on the 5th of January and my paperwork isn't ready and my book can't be ordered until it is. If I hadn't called to find out what was going on I would have been completely screwed.
I'm running in so many different directions that I don't know which way is up at the moment. So much for a Christmas break. . . .

Ugh. I hate when things pile on me and make me feel all overwhelmed. I find it helps me to make a list so that I can check things off of it. Just making the list is stress relief for me.
I hope you are feeling better soon!!

Surgery scheduled Jan 29th (if I don't have another gallbladder attack)
Ultrasound scheduled (Friday @ 10:30, nothing to eat or drink after midnight)
Kitty's appt to be spayed (Tuesday @ 7 AM - She went into heat last night)
Youngest's ENT appt scheduled
Don't need to order textbook. I already have it!!!!!
Still waiting to do:
Financial Aid stuff Dealing with address change with Social Security. (They are so incompetent. I have done the address change 4 times and they still haven't fixed it) Youngest's Allergist appt Youngest's Ortho appt Youngest's birthday (have a couple of weeks on that one) Oldest boy's eye appt Paperwork for kid's medical insurance Taking girl shopping before break is over Finishing girl's science fair project (I swear it is like pulling teeth to get her to sit down and finish this damn thing) Appt to have other cat fixed
Somehow I need to work, do my homework, help the kids with theirs, keep the house clean, spend quality time with the kids, and recover from surgery all at the same time.
Blah, the joys of being a single mom and trying to do it all by yourself. Right now I am thankful I broke up with what's his name. I can't do everything that needs to be done and try to maintain any kind of relationship with anyone at the moment.

You are so Blessed haveing all those Kids I will Pray that you do Good Yes, I am blessed. Thank you for that reminder. Sometimes life gets in the way with everything that needs to be done. I know it will all work out the way it is supposed to, but I just wish that it wouldn't all pile up at once.

i am there with you.......sometimes life just gets so crazy all at one time that it feels like you are going to explode.......and you end up getting worn out from running yourself ragged, then you get sick, then it piles up more, etc etc etc ad nauseum..... just remember to take some time out for you during all of the chaos. just a few minutes here and there to refresh and take a few deep breaths. make lists and check them off so that you can see your progress (so sayeth the queen of list-making). you can do it. you've had more on your plate at some point before and you got through it then, and you can get through it now.

finding ~
I'd read this post earlier, but didn't have time to reply.
You are so awesome and I can't believe the things you've endured and continue to endure - and yet you're still standing.
You are awesome in every sense of the word. Those kids are lucky to have you for a mom. I know you're frustrated (yet can't say I have idea what it must be like, but can only imagine), but am so impressed with how you've handled your challenges.
If anyone can do it, it's you, finding. I sincerely pray all works out for you and your family.

finding ~ I've wondered how you are doing since your last post on this thread and wishing all of you the best. I know you'd probably rather have some peace and normalcy rather than hear how awesome you are. I wish I could make that happen for you. Crushy

I know you'd probably rather have some peace and normalcy rather than hear how awesome you are. I wish I could make that happen for you. Crushy Thank you for your concern. The last couple of days I have felt horrible. I ate pizza on Friday and it made me sick for the last couple of days. I had my ultrasound Friday morning and they found 8 gallstones. I just have to be very careful with what I eat until the 29th and I should be fine. I've discovered that this isn't like cheating on a diet. I'm forced to eat extremely heathly otherwise I pay the price. I can't wait for this to be done. I go back to work and start classes tomorrow. I've been helping my mom make plans to go back to Iowa as my grandmother (her mom) is in hospice and she most likely won't make it through the week. It all seems to be coming down at once.

I know we have been on the phone almost everyday, but I wanted to stop in and drop you a note that I have been thinking of you and hope things are starting to slow down for you hun. Call me if you need me. I will be back and forth between town and up the mountain today so if you miss me, try again. And sorry about not getting back to you the other day, the boys are such phone hogs. And they say teenage girls are bad with the phone

Thanks Mel, It seems we are playing phone tag here lately. Those boys are worse on the phone than a teenage girl. I should know, I have one. My first day back to work yesturday and I ended up having to leave early because of a sick kid. I'm home with him today as well. The sitter called me paniced because his fever wouldn't go down. He almost ended up in the hospital yesturday. He's doing a lot better today, thank goodness. Oh, FYI Freckles. If you in fact had gallstones they would have removed the gallbladder. You can't pass gallstones safely (it will lead to pancreatitis) (sp), and if they just remove the stones without taking out the gallbladder you just develop more stones. 23 days to surgery.
