I am stunned! I found out this morning that I now owe NOTHING to the local hospitals / oncology clinics for my son! Astounding. That saves me about $175 a month. I actually do not know what to think - its like paying off a mortgage. I have been paying something to someone since the day my son was born in 1987. In July of 2005, with some inheritance, we paid everything off - about $2,500 and then in september, it all started again when he was diagnosed with cancer. Up to that time, we had filed around $350,000. The cancer treatments alone were that much and then the bladder surgery this summer came in easily at $100,000.
And now I owe nothing to hospitals...I truely do not know what to think about this.
I didn't file bankruptcy but took the hit on my credit for ever. Now, my credit is almost at 700 and I'm free of my medical bills AND I was able to do it the right way and pay what I owed. Astonishing..
I feel like a 10,000 lb weight has been lifted off my shoulders....
I don't know what to do...it is amazing..

I am so happy for you!! I know how much the worry you have had regarding your son's health has taken on you only to be compounded by the financial strain. As you know, I admire you.
You are such an incredible dad. I only wish I'd given my sons such a great dad. You deserve a breath of relief.
