I've started back into my master's program. Juggling work, the kids and their activities, and school has been an interesting challenge.
I have my gallbladder removed on Thursday. It has really been acting up over the last few days, so I am beyond ready to have the damn thing taken out.
Once I am done with school next year I am considering going on for my PhD. I'm in the research phase at the moment, I've got a year to decide.

It's outpatient, but my mom will be around so I won't be logging in here until after she leaves. I should be out of the hospital that afternoon. There is a small chance that this won't fix it, but I'm not even going to think about it. I want to be healty again.

Had the gallbladder removed yesturday. Today I feel like I've been hit by a truck. The nurse yesturday said the sore muscles should go away in about 24 hours, so hopefully I won't be walking like a little old lady tomorrow.

I'm surprised you feel that good. You had someone stick their hands inside your mid-section and remove an organ! Ouch!

Take it easy for a few months Dont try to be Super Woman Hah, like that will happen. I'm a single mom with three kids who have their own schedules, plus mine. I will take it easy over the next few days, but that is all I am going to be able to do. Thank goodness my mom is here to help out until Sunday.

I hate the percoset. It makes me queasy, but it is stronger than the hydrocodone. I see the dr on Monday, I will ask for something different then.

ahh i loved percoset after the hip replacement but i didn't take a whole lot of them because i'm just not a pill popper. i think i still have about half a bottle left. the last time i took hydrocodone i had a really bad reaction to it, so i'm afraid to take it again.
luckily, i haven't had a need to take anything lately......woohoo!!!

Yeah, I don't like the pills either. I start back to work on Thursday, so I'm probably going to need something. My belly is all bruised, and I'm still a bit swollen. It's going to be fun having to wear "real pants" all day. Right now I'm living in pajama pants.

If you can you might buy a pair of elastic waist dress pants (ugly I know) to wear until you feel all better.
