Saw Extinction the other day in the movie theater.
No plot line, nothing was solved during the entire duration of the movie, no character development. 2 hours of zombie killing. I almost walked out.
That much said, Resident Evil 1 and 2 were on Sci Fi last night and I watched both. They were even worse. Mindless zombie killing, clinches, plot holes so thick you could drive a truck through them.
I wasted 6 hours of my life on them, and I suggest that you find something else to do, such as leaving some food on the counter to rot for a week, and then stare at the bugs crawling all over it.

The videogames are much better. Particularly Resident Evil 2. Movies based on videogames usually suck.

I have heard that too. Movies based on videogames are usually only enjoyed by those who were big fans of the game.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_video_games Looking at this list, I'd have to guess that a good videogame movie doesn't exist. The Mortal Combat movies were so bad that they were kinda fun. I've heard a lot of people like Final Fantasy:Advent Children, but most of those seem to be fans of the game.

They could make a movie about a pinpong game that takes on a mind of its own, and goes around bouncing a little white ball off of people and buildings causing a huge loss of life and property. It would be at least as good as anything already out there.
