Why did half my songs turn into non-readable when I upgraded my pc? WTF! Some songs I bought on iTunes even..

How did you have the songs saved before that you converted? It pays to get a separate drive for music if you store as much I do than you don't have these headaches...
Try...loading it again...if you can.

I have everything on a flash drive. I dunno. I also had music rescue. And all of my "musicmatch" is gone. Sigh.

I forsee one of two options...
Either you reset your ipod and delete everything and start over...
Or...
You take the songs that didn't compute and type in the name and artist...its a pain but for live BNL and Guster shows I have had to do it because Ipod doesn't recognize their track...
If you uploaded new software...what kind??? You could go to the apple website and see if there is a troubleshoot. For me, when I switched over to Windows XP...I had to download something new for an Ipod conversion...
Just a thought...I know, like me, you are lost without it!
Hope any of this helps...

J-
Take it to an apple store.
Seriously, they will take care of it.
I had to replace mine...once...
They are awesome about it and just gave me a brand new one.
If you want to email me the information on what all the variables are... I will try to find out for you. I work with some IPOD geeks like myself.
LOL

And dont bother with the iPod touch...at least not this first model. Least mine was free! Way too bulky although I must admit the sound is better. Love my nano though!!!
