If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?

That I stayed in Calgary for grad school to be with him (the ex)....I also had an opportunity in Arizona that I turned down. But my life would be very, very different now if I had gone to Arizona.....and then I wouldn't have ended up teaching...which is something I stumbled into, after leaving my other career, that really makes me happy. So I guess things have a way of working out, eh? maybe I wouldn't take it back ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you could erase certain memories from your mind (without any other neurological losses) would you do it?

I would probably erase my ex - although I learned so much of myself, through the good and the bad. But I do wish I hadn't given my love, time and other gifts to someone who could justify those actions.

Do you think people can change?

Yes, but it is a long, slow process with a lot of backsliding and pain involved (particularly for those who are waiting for it). It can be done, though!
Even if you forgive, do you forget?

I think that it takes a lot of effort and time. Unless you are able to stop playing old movies in your head though..............

If you were able to make a choice between living a life of very little pain and very little personal introspection or a more difficult life where you knew yourself very well and were able to deal with things in a very healthy manner............what would you pick? and why?

If you were able to make a choice between living a life of very little pain and very little personal introspection or a more difficult life where you knew yourself very well and were able to deal with things in a very healthy manner............what would you pick? and why? The latter, especially if I can deal with it healthily. Although now I am living a life of pain and not dealing with it greatly. I *have* to choose the rough deal every time, don't I?? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Same question?

But I am realizing that the only way to really understand is in going through the pain and accepting it fully and trying hard to see the truth no matter what that might be. I had a very unflattering look at myself recently and I'm trying to be glad, I'm trying to look honestly and make changes because knowing is half the battle.... I heard a good quote on a movie I watched the other day about it not being brave if you're not scared. I'm not so sure I'm brave LOL I do choose the latter. And I did see that movie and it was very powerful!!! Definitely see it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What brings you the most peace in your life right now?

Music, books, friends. Walking outdoors. Being still and silent.

chocolate and coffee, also red wine, and scalloped potatoes. yes, I know....I'm healthy but who would really pick salad? What is your favorite kind of salad?

Any, but with no dressing! What's the point of salad if its drenched with that stuff? A little lemon will do me fine.
And I saw "Eternal Sunshine". The original ending was of a middle-aged Clementine erasing her memory for the umpteenth after yet another nasty break up with Joel. Put's a different spin on the romance, huh?

What's your favourite thing to do on a summer day?

My ideal summer day would involve golf, a hike, a picnic, or just being outside enjoying the day...

Do you sleep in on the weekends or days off or do you get up the same time every day?

I only get to sleep in on rare occasions and usually because my bf is wonderful. My daughter is my alarm. When she is up, disaster usually follows so sleep at your own risk.
