We just got a phone call this morning saying my grandmother has been taken to the hospital with an extremely high fever. She's been really frail lately so this is just another thing. Thing is, she lives thousands of miles away and my mom hasn't seen her in almost two years and she was in tears when she spoke to her sister (my aunty) this morning. I could really use some prayers, that at the very least she'll hold on until my mom can get out there. I'm scared because my mom has lost her brother a few years ago as well (without getting a chance to see him) and its always hurt her she lives so far away. Anyway, keep her in your thoughts, guys....

Sorry to hear that. Upper respiratory /Flu issues are horrible right now for folks. Especially the young and elderly.
I hope she gets better soon.

I hope your grandmother recovers! Sometimes even the elderly can bounce back, and it sounds like she is in good hands. I know it is hard on family to be far apart, I hope your mom is able to get their quickly and your grandma and she are reunited happily.
Thinking of you!
Shey

Thanks you guys. We think she may have actually had a stroke. This is why she shouldn't have been living on her own. My mom has a flight for the end of next week so hopefully, all will be well until then. Thanks again guys.

Thanks PN! So an update: My mum managed to fly out, but her plane got halfway to Paris then had to turn around because of some mechanical problem. She then was stuck at Gatwick for a day and a half. GRRRR. But she's landed now. And visiting.
