No, no, no, I didn't say she said that: Phyxius said that in response to her interview on the turkey farm. Quote, please - I never said that, and I challenge you to provide proof otherwise. It's put up or shut up time... Under the "Soapbox" heading, Freckles posted the Sarah Palin turkey farm video, stating that is where our food comes from. In response, Phyxius wrote: You just can't make this shit up. And Republicans were INSPIRED by this twit. Gotta love it... This comment obviously means that Phyxius thought there was something really awful about Palin giving an interview that showed a dead turkey in the back ground being stuffed in a grinder or whatever it was. Fine. I agree whole-heartedly. Sarah Palin is decidedly not my kinda gal when it comes to our fellow creatures. I'm the one with the vegetarian Christmas, after all. What I am pointing out is the hyprocisy: Phyxius obviously eats meat, which comes from places (most of them far, far, far worse) like we saw on the video. Hence my question whether you're a tasteless barbarian if you look at, visit, and acknowledge how meat is made, and if you're superior by having the exact same abused animal on your plate, the difference being that you prefer not to see what happens to it before you eat it. Or is it disgusting to eat meat if you're a Republican, and OK for Democrats?

Get by comfortably. But if I had to choose between no money at all, and exessive amounts, I'd choose excessive amounts!! You can always give the extra money away to charity, after all. Hmmm, so, the more I think about it -- why not have exessive amounts? The idea just turns me off somehow. Eh, I overthink stuff too much. I'll pass the same question on to the next person....

Um, I don't wish to speak for Phyx, but I interpreted his comment as meaning Palin is a twit (in general) and Republicans are inspired by her, which is really freakin' scary. I dunno where the whole carnivore/vegetarian debate came from... I don't really see how one's dietary choices relate to one's political persuasion.

excessive amounts of money, or enough to get by comfortably? If those are the two choices, with no "price" to pay, so to speak? Excessive, of course. More money = more freedom. (But I can get by on quite a modest income.) Vintage or ultra-modern?

I don't really see how one's dietary choices relate to one's political persuasion. They don't -- that was part of my point.

Well, no one seemed to like Baroque v. Renaissance, so here's a different one, which fits my mood:
No hope or false hope.

With false hope, it is still no hope, you are just deluding yourself even though you realize it! Besides, no hope is not really "no hope"...it just means you have reached the point where it is time to look the opposite way. Good question though. Goodfellas or the Godfather?

not to shower until I can't stand my own greasy head, but that only happens on very long weekends when I'm all alone.
