It just about takes an act of God to get alcohol at a State University sponsored event. Taxpayer dollars even temporarily going for booze? No way!

Ah, State University. That makes sense since you explain it that way.
I went to a private liberal arts college founded by a brewer. Beer was standard at any sort of event. Many times it was easier and cheaper to obtain than water.
