I must admit I am waiting for this movie to come out. I'm sure it has it detractors and haters...but it's a guilty pleasure and I love it! It's a fun type of movie.

I'm looking forward to it, too. I recently saw an article featuring the girls -- they all look fab!
So which SATC character are you? C'mon, you know that everyone relates best to one...

There's a couple of new TV shows that seem to be trying to take the spot that SITC vacated. Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle. Any of you ladies watch these?

I've been wanting to check those out, lumpy, but I hardly ever watch any television these days. I ought to set the Tivo.
RO, my shoe obsession alone ought to give me away. The bad taste in men is just the icing on the cake.

You're right, everyone sort of identifies with one...!....I tend to alternately relate to Charlotte and Carrie. Samantha's a bit out there, and Miranda's a bit too hardened for me.
I guess I can relate to how Charlotte can be kind of sweet and caring, and is a bit more cautious than the others might be...and I can relate to Carrie just trying to figure out her life, having her feelings hurt, being diappointed, but also having fun, being independent, and laughing at herself. I kind of admire how she socializes pretty easily with anyone and she can be pretty confident when she's in the right mood. And I love to see her clothes! I'm not a bigger shopper myself but I do love the wardrode on that show.
I liked following the whole relationship with Mr. Big, too.
I never got into the other shows...too over the top for me and I couldn't relate to them. I'm not usually big into TV shows but this is one I like.
What about you guys, which one of them would you be?

I loved this show. I'm probably most like Carrie....but I don't have her wardrobe ;D
I'm looking forward to the movie and my girlfriends have already said to "save the date" and we'll go as a girls' night out. It looks good.
I tried to set my DVDR to record lipstick jungle, but it malfunctioned (??) or I'm doing it wrong(??) and I only got the first 10 minutes. It actually didn't appeal to me....the women didn't seem realistic to me, maybe just too high-powered for me. I didn't bother trying to set it this week. Too busy for TV anyhow....but I do miss ER. Guess the writer's strike kindof ended the season early.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. At the end of last year my cable TV stopped working so I re-watched the whole lot of SITC from series 1 onwards. I must be highly malleable because my shoeand handbag purchases went through the roof. Also despite determinedly telling myself I was just like Carrie I began to notice creeping Samantha-like tendencies. Thank goodness I ran out of dvds in January - I was running out of a. wardrobe space for all the new shoes and b. men I hadn't already had flings with (Abu Dhabi being a small town!). I've been much more virtuous since I moved on to Prison Break.
