Going through my 3rd divorce. Every one of them ended with them cheating on me with someone else! Seems like they are never satisfied with what they have and just stick around until somethin better comes along! Well, there is no better catch than me! (trust me on this!)
Now that I'm going through a divorce, I'm gettng hit left and right with ladies that want to go out. Problem is, they all ask the same questions!
"Where do you live?" "What do you do?" "What do you drive?" "How much money do you make?" (seriously!)
I think I'm gonna just go back to the motherland in Europe and find someone who will appreciate me for who I am, not for what I have! everything here is soooo materialistic and selfish! Even in church!!

I'd just like to add that it's not just the women.

If I had asked these questions this would have been my thinking behind asking them.
Where do you live?
I don't want a momma's boy who is living at home still at our age. I don't want to date a guy that is living in a frat house still. etc.
What do you do?
I would ask this out of interest in what the person does. I enjoy a big portion of my job and I like to talk about it. I would ask about his to have more things to talk about.
What do you drive?
I think what a person drives can tell you a lot about a person. For instance, I drive a minivan. I think that tells people that I am a family person and not all about apperances (lol).
How much money do you make?
I would NEVER ask someone this. I didn't know how much my husband made until a after we were engaged.

If only those were the reasons? There was one girl in particular who heard I was getting divorced. I heard second hand her first comment was "Who got the house?"
I'm not raising anyone else's babies! It's time for someone to take care of me for a change!!

The only one on that list I ask is "What do you do". It's not about finding a sugar daddy. I want to see their reaction in describing their job. If they aren't happy with what they are doing, generally they aren't happy with the rest of their lives.
Asking someone how much they make is very tacky. That information should only be shared if you are in a long term relationship and thinking about marraige.

Those would be my reasons. Paranoid much? I bet all the women in Europe are single without babies and don't care to learn anything about you.

Maybe you are looking in the wrong areas. Maybe you draw in golddiggers with all your awesomness.
You will know when a woman is genuine.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this....but whats wrong with asking those questions? As long as they are not asked because the woman wants a man to take care of her. If they are asked because she doesn't want her potential interest to be living in his mother's basement and running a website which will describe what nudity scene appears in what film - okay, I am using Knocked Up here, but its actually a perfectly viable example. In today's time there is no time for those who do not work. If I was to even consider marrying someone I'd make damn sure I knew what he did and even (not every detail of, but at least have some idea of) his finances. Before I get pronounced a gold digger, I am most definitely not. I feel uncomfortable being paid for, prefer to pay my own part of the meal, movie, night out, holiday and whatnot.
