The previews were very promising and I filed that one away as a "want to see", when it came out.
Saw it last night.
There was no plot, the movie was pointless, the plot holes were so big you could drive a double decker bus through them. It's too bad because the premise was good and the special effects and the scenery in some of the far away places was beautiful. Too many unanswered questions and the movie breaks it's own established rules, for example jumpers can be hurt by knives but can walk in the middle of a war zone with bullets flying and not be concerned about being harmed in any way. The characters are weakly developed and the viewer is left with more questions than answers and a feeling of "that's it?" when the credits finally roll. It's one of those movies that seems to be thrown together with no regard to continuity, story telling, or closure. Makes me feel like a fool for being taken in by the previews and allow myself to be insulted by movie makers that don't take the time to think things through before they put them out there.

Check out rottentomatoes dot com (not sure if I can post links here).
I was picking a flick Saturday, considered Jumper - then saw it got a 16% rating (bad). It's a pretty cool site if you want opinions from both critics and movie lovers.
So I ixnayed Jumper and instead went to see Sweeney Todd (at a discount theatre) .. so glad I did!

When I saw that it starred Hayden Christensen that's all I needed to know. The guy practically ruined the last two Star wars flicks all by his lonesome.

I still like those movies but mostly because I'm a big Star Wars geek. I thought he was terrible though. Nowhere near evil enough to play Vader. I thought he came off like a whiny little biatch. Don't confuse a pretty face with acting ability.

me confuse a pretty face? never! ok maybe alrighty star wars geek... my cats names are ..... Luke and Leia! If they absolutly had to have a pretty boy for the role I'd have went with Ryan Phillippe. He has similar features but can actually act a little bit.
