how can people be outraged by an animals life, but dont even blink over peoples lives? is it that the animal is defenseless? Yes, I think it is because the animal is defenseless and hasn't hurt anything. Some of Michael Vick's dogs were too violent to adopt out, so they had to be put down. Yes, people protested, but not like the protest over this puppy. I also don't think it is true that people are less willing to "blink" when it comes to humans. People would be just as outraged, or more, if that had been a child. We put on blinders when someone who has free-will makes bad choices. I don't feel bad for the guy on death-row who committed some henious, violent act. He had free-will and did hurt someone. This puppy didn't hurt anyone.

Mother nature makes babies (human and animal) appealing because they have to be in order for people to want to take care of the young. That is why you look at their faces and melt. This is so disturbing. Who doesn't like puppies? Besides Cruella Devil? ??

Not if you have wee wee pads. Even if you don't like puppies I doubt you would go out and kill something for no reason. If it were a kitten or a baby gorilla I would still be HORRIFIED.

I was being facitious about the puppies. Everybody loves puppies. I understand THAT you ARE horrified, but one puppy? How about a mouse? Would that be horrifying? What if someone posted a video of a cat killing a rabbit? I guess my point is that there are bigger fish to fry when it comes to being outraged. IMHO

I think I am being completely oversensitive because I just got a puppy this past Saturday... and I think I am in love with him. This is hitting a little to close to home for me. I also should tell you that when I was a kid at summer camp I punched a kid in the mouth because he was killing froggs with a ping pong paddle by hitting them like they were a ball. He had a bucket of them and when I asked him to stop and he wouldn't stop... I decked him. The laws of nature do not apply. We are not hunting to kill as a means of survival. We are civilized people and this is not how civilized people should act. Althought, I guess when I punched that kid I wasn't being very civilized either.

Even if it's a joke, it's a disgusting joke. I have zero tolerance for animal abuse.

I used to kill frogs when I was a teenager. Put them in a glass soda bottle, launched them out into the middle of the drainage sump, pelt it with rocks. The bottle would break, the frog would swim for shore...was treated to a barrage of rocks..if he managed to dodge all the rocks and come up on shore...I would drop a brick on him.

Too Many Puppies-Primus Too many puppies are being shot in the dark. Too many puppies are trained not to bark. At the sight of blood that must be spilled so that We may maintain our oil fields. Too many puppies Too many puppies are taught to heal. Too many puppies are trained to kill. On the command of men wearing money belts that buy Mistresses sleek animal pelts. Too many puppies. Too many puppies with guns in their hands. Too many puppies in foreign lands. Are dressed up sharp in suits of green and Placed upon the war machine. Too many puppies are just like me. Too many puppies are afraid to see. The visions of the past brought to life again, Too many puppies, too many dead men. (El Sobrante #1) www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2zQKqgNAeE
