Does anyone else think that some of these stats seem a bit inflated? I mean 30-50% of women and 50-80% of men cheat on their spouses??...really?? That seems like a very high numbers...but then so does the 10% of children not being offspring of their supposed fathers. Hmmm. Maybe it's just me but.....gawd, what is wrong with these people?

I was reading a paternity statistic done in the 60's that showed 33% of children were not fathered by the "daddy of the house"... I think Maurey Povich has made everyone afraid. "You are NOT the father"... scarry.

The stats seem quite high to me as well. If they are true then what the hell is wrong with people?

I don't find the stats hard to believe. It's what our society has become.

This is the reason I agree with this bill. It's sad that it has come to this.

I also am saddened, but agree with this bill.
Remember those cases where a wife cheated and had a child with another man and her husband was had to pay child support for a child that wasn't even his? I think it is also a step in the direction of eliminating that ridiculous-ness.

Yet again, the sins of a few make things a pain in the ass for the rest. When are we (as a society) going to stop trying to parent everybody?? This equates to taxing every unmarried woman that has a child...just in case. Why not let the dude on the certificate pay the $165 for a test if he's not convinced the child is his? I'm guessing the number of men trying to play the "I never touched her" card is a bit higher than the number of women naming the wrong man the father. Just a hunch.
