By marrying V, I am becoming a stepmom.
Wow. This blows me away. One of the things I love about him is that he is such a good dad. He is always trying to spend more time with them, whenever he can.
They are coming to our wedding, and he asked them if they were okay with it. They both said they were for us being together. I also asked both of their permission to marry their Dad, and they both agreed.
I know it's going to be challenging, though, although we all love each other.
They know me quite well, but even so, I sometimes feel like I am intruding on them and their Dad. So right now, I am really trying to give them time alone with their Dad. So they don't feel like they are losing him.

I just try to make sure that he still takes his son to do things, just the two of them. His son has had a hard time with his daddy having two more sons, but we just talk to him about it and make sure he gets the one on one time.
It will all work out. Just make sure you step back and view everything as an outsider if one of them is acting out.

That is so admirable of you. My dads girlfriend was a "hog" and we only got to see my dad during the summer. Me and my brothers used to plot against her... we were truly the devils cupcakes. It might be nice to have them be part of the marriage ceremony, like a best man/maid of honor kind of thing.... just a suggestion.
