"Yous guys" is perfectly acceptable here as well as, "heck ya, you betcha."

that's so cute. it sounds like something out of a movie.
subway etiquette during rush hour is a fascinating study in sociology. you can be fully pressed up against someone, but don't dare make eye contact.

Your girlfriend says when she's got you wearing a tie You're looking like a puff and you think I've had enough Stop and take a look at yourself for a while And you'll know it's time to say [Chorus:] Cheerio (cheerio) Toodle pip (toodle pip) This is our last goodbye Don't cry Cheerio (cheerio) Toodle pip (toodle pip) Our last farewell, goodbye. Sitting watching Coronation street You decide to put your feet up, just about comfy in your seat And she says, I'm feeling hungry If she sends you out for a bag of fish'n'chips You'll know it is time to say... [Chorus] Need a bit of shut eye so you lie on the couch She is yapping in the background Baby's things wedding rings It's not for you, she will never keep her mouth shut You have to tell her now, once and for all Coz now it's time to say... [Chorus] www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9sJ0ssHPZE The only you tube of the song I could find is a Naruto cartoon...

jules's post on another thread just reminded me that it's common knowledge that curfew is "dark-thirty" meaning you a half hour after the street lights come on to get home. of course that's about 10:30 in the summer around here.

This thread is funny. Well, although I speak for a living, and try to be intelligent about tit.(lol) In the mid west we don't all sound like Larry the Cable Guy. (love him btw)

Apparently, jules informed me...it is a midwest thing to send someone a thank you note and gc to someone that is not a close friend.
She told me that I would be presumed crazy if I did that in her city...well, I already am crazy...

In London, its perfectly acceptable to get your arm broken whilst going through the tube gates (as a friend of mine did). Or to get thrown under the train.
That's also manners... ;D

Although I understand it is manners to do the whole thank you card thing - and for work I do think it is very important - as a person I really hate getting them. I feel horrible if I just pitch them, so what the heck am I supposed to do with it? It just floats around the house gathering dust until someone steps on it or spills on it so I can throw it away... I often request people NOT send them to me, and really honestly prefer a verbal or in person thanks to a whole card thing.

What do you do with them when you get them? How do you get rid of them? (Or do you just have a big collection?)
