Do they have her on blood thinners? I had to take injections in the stomach every 12 hrs for a month after my most recent accident. It was expensive, but makes sense. Kinda made me wonder why they didn't do that after my first accident. I know she is in the hospital and has good Drs, but just want to make sure you've asked about blood clots. You can never be too careful (unfortunately, I've had 3 accidents make the news). My poor 15 yr old doesn't want me to teach him to drive. I asked him if he wanted to go driving and he politely told me he'd rather anyone teach him rather than me. He gives my new car 18 mos. Okay, so I'm jinxed. ;D It's kinda funny. No one, but one at work will even get in a car w/ me except one and she's had 2 brain tumor surgeries. They think I'm jinxed and so I'm always a passenger. We have to take a self-defensive driving test annually and they joke that I should take it twice. They've also suggested bumper cars and bus passes. Have they found what caused your mom's van to roll? Please be patient with her because something as little as a bubble coming up in a water bottle machine could send her heart racing for a while. Please tell her I miss her and am praying for her. No hurry to respond, I understand and will be here if and when she's ready to share. I feel I can speak for almost everyone here when I say she's truly special and loved here. She's got wit I wish I had and has made friends that would do anything for her. Of course, as her son, you know that.

I typed a reply but lost all that i typed. bad day, very and i was sent home because of it. she didnt read the stuff yet as she was too sick. sorry to not have good news to report. Please don't be sorry. You two are going through a lot. It's really hard for someone that hasn't been through it to understand it. The thing that counts most is you were there for her. You are the strongest medicine she could have. Of course we love her and like I've said, it will probably take time for that to be something she can absorb. I still can't imagine being alone and hurt for nearly a day before being discovered. She's hurting emotionally as well as physically. You are doing everything you possibly can for her and when all is said and done, you both will be able to reflect on it. Hang in there, guy. You have no idea how much healing power you have within the man you are for your mom. You may understand someday when you're a dad (yeah, I hated it when I heard that before I became one myself). Just focus on the blessings you have. Your mom is still with us. How incredible is that? How fragile is life? I know it's hard...believe me, I know, but living in spite of the trials is very empowering. I know your mom is a survivor and has inspired me personally. Hang in there. Trust me, at some point in the future, this trial will become a positive in your lives and your relationship. Crushy

I cant bear to see her like this. i remember her biking accident so many years ago. i have a good memory for things and when she went flying i thougth she had been killed and i thought i had died too. this is way worse though. some days i think she wont make it and i just lost my grandma last year. today she was in so much stress with breathing i thougth she was going to die and i freaked out. so her ex from sweden took me home.

Yea we are kinda like the crazy family that no one wants to talk about. You can hang out here as much as you need to. I set up a cot for you own on the lower boards... there is some food down in the recipes thing if ya get hungry.. course your mom made most of it... you can see who lives no where even close to ya in the Local area section.. and pretty much yell at who ever ya want in the Vent-o-area.. well until I delete it . Its real nice having you around IMO.. kinda like a little piece of J.. well without the throwing things at me part.
