We were at a chinese buffet restaurant last night, myself and the girlfriend...before the movie (Vantage Point- see my review in the movie section).
We were in a booth and I had a perfect view of another booth about 15 feet away, at a right angle to our booth. At that booth was a young woman, perhaps mid 20's and she was HAWT.
So I figured I had a good Vantage Point (pun intended) because I was partially blocked by my girlfriend and also by the crab legs I was wolfing down. I was being too obvious because she looked up a few times.
Anyway, at some point she got up, walked past my booth and as she passed she surprised me by giving me a half a smile. My reaction was immediate, reflexive, involuntary, and I was mostly unaware of it until my eyes turned back to my girlfriend who was giving me...you guessed it..the EVIL GRIN.
She was like..did you know that girl? I said "no, why?". She said because you smiled so broadly and you looked like you were about to hug her"
I think that was a bit of an exaggeration on her point but jeez..she really wasn't very understanding. The debate got a bit heated but then everything was cool again and the matter was dropped.

doc... she was not exaggerating... you wanted to do more than "hug" her... only my vantage point (pun intended).

Well of course I "wanted to" but thinking about doing something and actually doing it are two completely different things. It's almost like the old joke...a man and his wife are walking down the street and a cute chick walks by. The guy doesnt see her but the wife does. She swings her pocket book and hits her husband with it. She says, "a hot chick just walked by". The husband says "I didn't even look".. The wife says "yeah but you would have if you saw her".

I don't think it is wrong to appreciate the scenery... as long as you aren't removing any of the fixtures on your way out.

I thought my GF was going to remove a few of my fixtures at one point.

Take a little personal responsibility and understand that you were oogling her all night. To get annoyed when your gf has a problem with it shows a lack of empathy. She was out to dinner with you, you were out to dinner with someone else.
