yep, I got a letter saying I have to go in front of the board of education for truancy. Alec has 7 unexcused days. I called and got a list of the days and LO AND BEHOLD the dumbasses have DOCTORS NOTE FOR EVERY FUCKING ONE.
So I went to the doc and got a NEW copy for each one and will go shove them up their ass on my way to work.
There is a note in his planner showing they received each note. They are such a pain in my ass.

isn't it beautiful to see your tax dollars at work? i'm a fan of public school, but sometimes the administration just blows.

administration always blows.
However, if your school system is anyting like mine the reason you got the notice is because the overworked secretary, or aide who is responsible for handling all these issues made a mistake as she was filing paperwork, answering phones, serving students, teachers, and staffs' every whim.
It might take months to notice that the superintendent or the principal are on vacation (when ours makes it to the second floor of the building we wonder if he is lost and we send emails to eachother notifying them that he is in fact still alive), but you know the secretary is gone immedietly. I doubt there is a school in the country that isn't dependant on its secretary (ies).

There is one and she is always stressed out. I sympathized with her, but made her fix the shit and I made her fax me proof that she had fixed the shit.
