Also the best place is the middle of the seat

the middle seat is only safest if it has a seatbelt with a shoulder harness. without the shoulder harness it is very bad to install a car seat in the middle.

What if it is a Baby Carrier ?

I guess it depends on how they made it

It depends on the brand. If the seat cannot be used with a lapbelt only it usually has a big sticker on the side that states that clearly.
