It has been an interesting week to say the least. It was 2 years this past August since I have worked outside of the house (For those of you who have stayed at home you know it is a job in and of itself).
The kids are adjusting. The youngest hasn't been so whiny towards the end of the week and the oldest boy has decided he can go back to his own bed now. They are cooperating for their sister in the morning, which is wonderful without me at home to get them ready for school. My body is adjusting to having to be up at 5 and out the door at 6. Now if I can get my car to cooperate. The nice man I am dating is coming over tomorrow to replace the battery cable and hopefully the problem is gone.
Work is going well and I am picking things up. There is a lot to the job and the first couple of days I was very overwhelmed, but things are coming together and starting to make sense. I made a big mistake today with the big boss present, but I owned right up to it and brought it to their attention and it was fixed. I was assured it was ok and he took care of it without making me feel any worse than I already did. He told me mistakes happen and we went on our way.
This afternoon before we left he came over to tell me what a good job I am doing and noticed that I am in early every day, even with car troubles. I was informed today of what "my pet project" is going to be AFTER the first of the year. I must have made a good impression because I just started on Monday.
I'm tired and my feet hurt, but it has been a good week. The best part is I get my first paycheck in a week!!!!!!!
