I just want to put it out there that my ex sucks when it comes to being a parent. My kids are off from school today and tomorrow, being that he is unemployed (as usual) and I work (as usual) he came this morning, picked up the kids are was going to keep them over night and tomorrow, returning them tomorrow when I get home from work.
I got a phone call today around 10am that he will be dropping them off to me at 5:30 because they are on his nerves and he can not deal with them anymore and neither can his mother. He recently moved in with his mother due to his financial situation.
COME ON LOSER!
It just pisses me right off that he can be such a part time dad, they get on his nerves and BAM he is done with them. I never get to do that nor would I want to.
The kicker is this: this is not the first time he has done this with the kids.
Now get this: he then proceeded to tell me that on he weekends he has the kids, he will only be taking them for 3 hours (over the course of the entire weekend) because that is all that he and his mother can tolerate.
WTF?!?!?!?

Damn. He's the man. I mean if he's doing it to you and getting away with it then what else can be said? One method of showing him how you would prefer his attitude towards participating in raising his kids is by getting another man in your life who's willing to step up and demonstrate how it's done.
That's just the spiteful side of me talking.

he sounds like a real piece of work. how old are your kids?
when i get sick of my ex being the controlling, manipulative psychopath that he is, i remember that there are other fathers out there who want nothing to do with their kids. while my ex will do anything to get them away from me, i should be thankful that he wants to be with them.
even if he is a nutcase.

Actually I do have a gerat guy in my life who has been there for a while and he has stepped up and demonstrate how to be a dad, the thing is this, he sets a good role model but when the day ends, he is not their dad.
Being that I have an amazing relationship with my Dad, I know the importance of that relationship with a father.
Bottom line is this, my ex is an asshole. PERIOD!

He actually had a vasectomy shortly after our daughter was born - that is the best thing ever. He will not have any additional children to mess up. See...looks like there is a silver lining here afterall....LOL ;D

You guys keep referring to him as a MAN. Sorry, but a real man knows how to be a father. This boy doesn't want to be a dad. What parent doesn't want time with their own kid(s).
Thank God he can't bear anymore children. It's obvious he's not cut out to be a father.
On a side note, it's not his mothers job to watch and entertain them when they are with him. Clearly, he can't handle the responsibility.
How old is he?
