send happy thoughts in my general direction tomorrow.......we have to be at the hospital at 9:30am and surgery is scheduled for 12:30pm. i haven't had my pain pill or any caffeine for 6 days now , and no cigarettes since late saturday night . i'm about to kill someone, so we really just need to get this done. hopefully, once this is all said and done and my nice shiny new hip is in place, i'll be able to walk normally for the first time in years.

Now is the time to go ahead and completly quit smoking You have allready done a day i totally agree. it's just a matter of doing it. and it's way harder to quit now since my husband smokes..... but at least once i step into the hospital doors tomorrow, i know that it's no longer an option for a few days.

I talked briefly on the phone with Ames last night. She is in a LOT of pain!! Everything went well with Mrs. Tiny bones. However we (her husband and I) were discussing that if Ames was a super powerhouse before she had two good hips, what is she gonna be like with two? Holy smokes she will be our unstoppable Ames. We love you Ames, get to feeling better soon. I promise I will keep y'all updated.

Thanks for posting, ladies! I have been wondering how she was doing. Glad to hear she's getting her room and all but so sad to hear about her being in so much pain. All I can say is that once she gets to feeling better, that woman will be unstoppable!! Send her my well-wishes for her recovery!

On the phone with Ames right now. I read her all your lovely messages and she was happy to hear so many caring wishes coming her way. She says she has been up walking a bit and possibly will get to go home on Friday. Also an added bonus is they are going to sent PT to her house rather than inpatient. I got a direct number to her room, so that I can update more frequently. Ames knows how neurotic I can be when I get all worried about my "family". Hee hee.
