B had a really bad seizure today. Bad enough that the poor little guy's lips turned blue. They are now sitting in the ER waiting for transportation to a hospital with a pediatric neurologist on staff.
I've talked to Finding twice already and she is keeping me updated. Please send lots of prayers and well wishes.
He is still waiting due to the weather grounding life watch and a lack of ambulances. There are only three and B is waiting behind a guy with heart issues. Which means that if the paramedics showed up now for the first guy, B would still be waiting another 3 hours to be moved. Needless to say that Finding is frantic as any mother would be. If she can get him to the hospital in Tuson then she will have someone to spell her, but until then................
I will pass any messages I read here onto her. Lots of love hun, hang in there, we are all pulling for you and B!!!!!!!!

Finding just called to let me know that they made record time to the hospital and are getting B settled into a room. He will be there for observation this evening at least and they started him on anti-seizure meds. If all goes well they can go home. If he has another one they will start the MRI and CAT scan routines to try to find what is going on.
Other than sounding exhausted L is holding up admirably.

It's good to hear he got the medical attention he needed quickly. I can't imagine what she is going through. I'll say some prayers for her and her son and hope it all settles down soon.

Thank you all. I will pass your love, prayers and good wishes on the next time I talk to her. B is doing much better now. They released him from the hospital yesterday and then she ended up having to turn around and take him right back because the anti-seizure meds were giving him a bad reaction. They got him on a new one that is working other than making him overly groggy for about an hour. L is hanging in there and appreciates the support. I will update again with more news later. And hopefully she will be able to check in soon

I've been away for a bit but so sorry to hear that Finding's boy was so sick. Good to hear that they have him on some better medication, though.

Thank you all for your well wishes. Things seem to going well now, other than being exhausted and trying to get things in order.
The boys had been with my parents for the week, and my mom was on her way bringing them home when the seizure happened. They had just pulled over about an hour from my house to get some lunch when the seizure happened.
At the time I didn't know how bad it was, which is probably for the best. He stopped breathing before he got to the hospital. If they had been out on the highway he probably wouldn't have made it.
As Mel said, we ended up back at the ER just a couple of hours after he had been released from the hospital because of the medication. The new medication seems to be working. He has an appointment with a neurologist April 3rd, and needs an EEG scheduled before the appointment.
Now I just need to finish getting all the safety protocols in place.

Add my prayers too. I know this must be very scary but it sounds like you are handling it very well!
