I don't feel guilty about anything I buy. Heck, I'm an adult and earn my own money so I can spend it as I see fit. (I used to feel guilty spending money on myself when I was married. Because money was tighter. Husbands are too expensive! )

Shoes. I have so many. Why do I need more? But I cant help it. I somehow manage to justify it even if I have zero cash. In the past 6weeks I bought about 5pairs.
But I feel most guilty about books. I am running out of space to put the thousands I already have....

I dont' feel bad when I spend money on board games for the family clothes for the kids food for the house that I have to cook I do fee guilty when I buy dinner out or spend money on myself, but I don't do the later very often.

I do fee guilty when I buy dinner out or spend money on myself, but I don't do the later very often. But does dinner out or spending on yourself also make you happy? I think you do as much for your home when you are happy as you would by spending money on its other members. Take care of yourself - it is taking of care of your kids to do so! (Plus, do you want them to self-sacrifice when they are adults? Model what you want them to act like!) Shey
