If you have a Pet You can pet it My child wants a hamster. Does that count? I fear that I would get bit and then that wouldn't be good at all..........Pets are relaxing though...you do have a point.

Go find a horse to hug Sass. Seriously, the sheer size, beauty, and unconditional trust you get from these animals, will make all stress fall away for awhile. They are magnificent creatures and can melt a heart. But then I'm a horse lover.

For me, the attitudes of some folks on here (Ojar) really helped me see things in a different light. I realized that I can not change the past, but I can learn from it... I can learn about ME and how I handled myself... I also realized I could sit around wishing things happened differently or I could make my life what I wanted it to be. Now I am in no way saying I am 100% over my marriage, but everyday there seems to be a noticeable change. I am enjoying daily things more than I have in a long time. I see how I changed during my marriage, the things that I did or didn't do that contributed to it's failure. AND now I know in my head and my heart what to look out for. To me the future looks bright, contains hope. My STBXW is dragging her heals on the divorce... but I am not angry at her, I don't hate her, I don't want her back... I am just living my life now. I have my son, I have my home, I have my friends and family. I have my ideas for who I want to be, who I will be. I am no longer who I was two years ago when our marriage turned south, I am no longer who I was before I met her. I am learning/growing all the time. I AM LEGEND. peace Sass, you'll get there Ron

I have nothing to allow at this point, but I am sure there are some people out there that do. I was just looking for a bright spot. Maybe, just maybe, I can be happy by association. Any help you guys can give would be most appreciated! I am happy to be having this baby (due in late June/early July) with a man who actually loves me this time. I'm coming out of the hardest year of my life (lost my mom to cancer in September) and in October we were blessed with new life. Makes me want to cry Sass, when you are feeling stuck in the past, maybe try something that would occasionally work for me. It sounds so hokey, but I'd force myself to slow right down and find the beauty in the moment.. whether it be a bird singing, the smell of the air, a tree, the snow... Seriously, I know it sounds new age, but it really helped and the habit I developed has helped change my whole view and way of thinking. It helps break the cycle of thinking too much about the past (I would really ruminate). Cheese off now.

When I'm down, I hop on a train and see my crazy friend in a city near by. She isn't crazy as in wild, she's just goofy and always makes me laugh. And always talks me into doing something silly, like paintballing, walking in the parks at about 6am, bowling - I can talk about seriousness with her and I can always choose not to. Whatever, I know this lady will always love me. When the ex left, I stayed at her house for 3weeks. She and her sisters saved my sanity. Do you have someone like that in your life? A friend, who you can be completely and utterly yourself with? If so, cancel life and go see them! Make it all about YOU for a weekend. Selfishness can be utterly beneficial sometimes. And remember, Sass: you're coming to Germany with me!! (You're not pulling out now, are you?!!)

Well you guys and the familiars as well! I am so glad to be a part of this supportive family. Ok cheesy mood over! I feel like the three faces of eve. Break down last night and a kind of mellow mood tonight!
