Seriously unbelieveable. Both he and his lawyer should be strung up by their short and curlys.

Yeah. Typically I'm against the death penalty but I might be willing to make an exception to that for assholes like this who don't even deserve to live.

I'm going to play devil's advocate. The cyclist wasn't wearing protective headgear, nor did he have reflective clothing. He is partially at fault in the accident.
In today's world, with people suing over hot coffee and pretending to find rats in their tacos, this guy isn't so out of line.

In today's world, with people suing over hot coffee and pretending to find rats in their tacos, this guy isn't so out of line. I work in law and would like to comment on the suing over hot coffee. The facts of the case are this.... a woman pulls into mcdonalds and orders a cup of coffe. She places the coffee between her legs and drives away. The coffee was so hot that when it splashed on her legs it burned through all of the epidurmal layers of her skin causing her to have 3rd degree burns and resulting in painful skin graffs. It was heated to a temp in excess of 180 degrees, extremely hoter than its intended purpose. Typically, coffee is served at 120 degrees. Now, is this unreasonable?

and now for the cyclist... first of all the case is in europe... in California law a cyclist that rides on the street in the flow of traffic is subject to the laws and rules of the road, basically - he has to obide by the same laws that the cars do.

Not when it is explained that way. that is what is wrong with these personal injury cases deplicted in the media... they don't give all the facts, just the JUICY headlines.

The media almost never give the true facts.
