Ok.... I acted impulsively 2 weeks ago and went and traded in my Honda Civic for a 2005 Explorer.
No sooner that I left the car lot, I realized the washer fluid didn't work... I took it to Big O and they replaced the pump for - $50. Okay... Then I noticed the driver side visor needed to be replaced (it just kind of hangs if you take it off the hook)... The cigarette lighter also doesn't work... All small things....
I get on the highway a few days later, and notice a super high-pitched sound coming from the rear, when I take my foot off the accelerator, the sound stops, but then the whole car starts to vibrate and shake.
When pulling sharply out of a parking spot, there is also a loud knocking in the wheel well.
So I take it to a dealership close to my house, and they proceed to tell me that the frotn shocks need to be replaced (knocking sound) and the whole rear-axle-assembly needs to be replaced... I figure, okay, I got the warranty, no problem... Well, aparently, there's a 30-day exclusion on my warrnaty, so much for that... And now that I've already reported the problem, it's not like I can just wait the 30 days and then take it back, The issues are now excluded.
Fuck me.
So I take it back to the place I bought it from, they try to smooth things over, yadda yadda, say they'll fix it, blah blah blah. Well, it's been there all day today and all they've done is test droce it and started taknig the rear end apart.
I knew it wouldn't be done today so I called and made a reservation for a rental car for tonight and tomorrow. Well, the dick fuck at the car lot just called me, and that mechanic is on vacation tomorrow and Saturday, and they're closed on Sunday, so my car won't be done til Monday or Tuesday. Fuck me.
There goes $200 in car rentals. And I've only had this piece of shit car for 2 weeks.
They better not EVEN think they are charging me for the repairs either. If the mechanic makes repairs, and then tries to charge me, he can't do that can he? Doesn't he have to discuss the repairs and cost with me before he does the work?
