I feel that if the alternate ID is done in an attempt to "fool others on the forum", then it's dishonest. Especially when they "take a shot" at another member, for example when Girlacious said "shut up Idoc", while hiding behind an ID.
If it is done to avoid an ban that is unfairly induced, then it's perfectly acceptable.

I personally don't like it. It makes people feel like they are being decieved or played for idiots, it is confusing and it always leads to trouble. If it is a persn you know wh is hiding it makes you feel betrayed, and most of us have had enough of that.
The rare exception is when it is transparently obvious and a sincerely funny joke comes out of it (rare).

Ugh, I hate seeing that comment on a message board - its an absolute pet hate of mine. Writing "who cares" isn't only belittling the subject of the thread but also the people who have posted on it.
I assume the OP who asked the question and anyone who posted clearly cares enough, or is polite enough to take the time to contribute to the thread.
If you don't care don't comment.

Yeah, you're right, I am in a really pissy mood these days. Hair trigger at work and irritated by everything. Gotta chill out or I'll give myself high blood pressure. Bloody ex has screwed with my head until im stressed by everything, I'm sure I didn't used to be this bad. I gave an evil death stare to a 4 year old on the plane on Friday because he kept peering at me between the seats. Felt really guilty. The little guy was only looking.
Just off to go find a small, fluffy animal to be cruel to now.
