I cant bear to see her like this. i remember her biking accident so many years ago. i have a good memory for things and when she went flying i thougth she had been killed and i thought i had died too. this is way worse though. some days i think she wont make it and i just lost my grandma last year. today she was in so much stress with breathing i thougth she was going to die and i freaked out. so her ex from sweden took me home. if there is anyone who has the will and determination to make it through this it is your mom!! she is a fighter and that is so important!

Hope you are having an easier time breathing today, Lady J. That back road to Whistler is a windy one....I think I actually know the ravine where you were. Yikes. Everyone here is pulling for you, and your son sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders and is looking after things for you You must be very proud.

Just want to tell Lady J we are still thinking of her. We are hoping she's beginning to heal. J, please tell your mom we love and miss her and we need some wit and sass around here. Okay? We're still sending positive energy your way too. You'll probably need a little vacation when all is said and done. Any word on the cause of the accident? Please tell me she's sleeping well and not waking with bad dreams? Just worried about her, but know she's a fighter. Crushy

Sorry to say but things are not going well. if it wasnt for the lung and breathing issues she would be home by now but shes fighting infection and not breathing on her own. i dont feel like saying much more right now but i know someone of you were wanting updates. shes slipped backwards before but this one is worse. will post more when i can and hope it can be better news.

Try to hang in there. Your mom has lots of people praying for her and pulling for her. Please don't forget to take care of yourself through all this too...

Thank you freckles. mom has stablized again but this weekend was quite bad. shes got some complications because of the lung injury. i tend to not want to post too much details as some close friends are reading and there is no point in scaring others. we have been told to not panic , ya right. how can you not panic when she cant breathe. shes better today . that is all that matters. no we dont know what caused her to go off the road but that isnt what we are focussing on . maybe later we will care more about that. shes looking so much better though. healing good with the bruising and swelling. she can use her arm almost perfectly now. her elbow was smashed badly and had a dislocated shoulder. i think with her having a big history of asthma has not helped matters. she use to go into emergency quite often for that but not as much in the last two years as she stopped smoking. shes also able to eat fairly normal now which is helping to get her strength back. she does have pneumonia which is the biggest problem.
we are both taking a day off so we can rest too. shes in good care and we will go in first thing in the morning. Her ex spent the night there last night as it was a pretty scary time this weekend.
