Also Freck, everytime you hit enter on a web page, that data is sent in clear text. I can put a packet sniffer on any computer on your home network and read any data transmitted to the web. Give me 30 seconds on your computer and I will have your passwords that display as "******".. Give me 20 minutes with a laptop within reach of a wireless network and I will have the wep key to log into your network. but I digress...
The '******' are just displayed instead of the actual characters...poor man's security.
As for the issue at hand, if the quy is a quad - let him look at porn. download a cleaner and have it run every night at midnight and delete all the histories, cookies, registry entries etc. However, if he looks at child porn - turn on the bios password and put an emediate end to it.

if the computer doesn't clean the computer until midnight what about when I am on the computer and porn pops up with the children in the room.
My husband and I pay for the internet for us and the children to use. The children should not be unable to use it.

Thats true too - its your computer and definitly your choice. He should respect your wishes. You might show him the cleaner program and let him run it when he is done - just an idea.
The better Idea would be for him to not do it but if at age 65 he is still so motivated - thats too bad.

He has at least 30 VHS and DVDs. It is not like he is hurting for porn. I have requested some new DVDs for him from a friend.

I dont' know about the senior programs around. Good idea, frecks. I will check into it. I actually think he can make it to the civic center and back in his chair without any issues. I think if there is a seiniors club or anything they would meet there.

I don't know either Steve so maybe you should try an experiment ...Start looking at all age ranges of child porn and then let the Feds explain that age question to you.
I would bet you would find your answer.
