If I didn't keep the kids busy in my class their would be biting and stuff. HAve to keep them busy, busy, busy.

i shoulda posted this in the "Kid Related Issues"...but anyways, he did alot better today, with the clinging, when i dropped him off at daycare this morning. i didnt take him home right away, i stayed and observed him play and low and behold, he bit another playmate.
my sitter is going through a lawsuit, however, i think that the mother suing him is totally out of her mind, she is a paralegal, and i guess she thinks she could intimidate him or whatever, but anyways, he has a lawyer and its being taken care of.
I told my boss about the incident, and she says that its "stupid" to sue because of that. First of all, there are no medical bills, there are no signs that he "was not" taking action to prvent incidents. He was sorta relieved when i told him what my boss had said.
i am doing the very best i can to curb this horrible habit.

You should show inititiative and have him come to school wearing the shock collar. The judge will see you are trying.

well it all started with the biting incident. of course her daugher is the "bitee", she wanted the sitter to drop the "Biter", in which case he didnt because it wasnt a reasonable on his part. So, the mother of the "bitee" went all crazy on him, AND she still wanted him to watch her daughter. Obviosuly there were parent/provider issues, so he told her that "Bitee" cannot come to daycare and gave her notice 2 weeks. She went balistic. to the point where she was removed by the police. ((he was telling me this story yesterday)) and then he got a Demand Letter from her for $10,000. She was suing him for 1) the biting incident--no medical bills 2) prejudice against French People...
the whole lawsuit seems asnine to me as he was telling it, but so far he's spent about $5 g's for an attorney.
I told him after the whole thing settles, which i'm sure the "biteee" isnt going to get a whole lot, becuse no pain and suffering, SUE her for malicious acts and attorney's costs...
i love my new sitter. he knows alot about kids, and although I shouldnt have freaked out yesterday, i think its my fault for overwhelming cash with this new transition.
i feel like i'm rushing him to be just as advanced, instead of making him go at his own pace.

But the action is reasonable. No reasonable person would take their child to day care and assume that absoultely NOTHING would ever happen, especially from other children. Besides, the day care isn't liable unless they can prove gross negligence on his part..... the parents of the biter are liable for the biten's damages.

and thank god that the children's parents understood yesterday. i was relieved to hear my sitter tell me they really had no reaction.
i wrote them apology letters from cash.
he's getting it though, hopefully no phone calls today.
now i know how my own mother felt when she got a call from my principle when i got into my first fight....completely mortified.

That "french" cause of action is total crap... Cash is going to be the day care's best defense to that one. He doesn't ONLY bite frenchies. This shit is retarded. The attorney who took her case should be diciplined by the bar.

I am talking about 2) prejudice against French people. Were you talking to me? when you said that"no no no" bit? I mean that Cash will be the day care providers best defense to the second cause of action where they think their kid is being bitten because they are french. Cash didn't look for french people to bite, therefore their 2nd cause of action is frivilous. Now, if every kid in the daycare bit frenchie and no one else.. then they would be able to prove the prejudice against french shit.

She means Cash didn't bite the French person - it was a totally different story than her Cash story...

she's claiming prejudice against french people with Joey. Frenchie thinks that because Joey told her that her daughter can no longer come to his daycare was because he was being prejudice. In which he claims he wasnt, the real reason he terminated her was because there were differences that could not resolved..AND Joey told me that she thrashed his office one day because she was upset that he refused to let go of the other child, the "biter". and that was BEFORE he gave Frenchie notice.
am i confusing u?

not at all sauce... I was wondering where the prejudice stuff was comming from. That makes much more sense now. So, hopefully baby "JAWS" has a better day.
Talk to him about it in the car. Tell him "you did really good today, you didn't bite, I am SO PROUD! or vice versa.
