As for the topic at hand: That does however, create a problem since Iran pres has stated that he will destroy Israel... its a problem to say the least... Outside of photoshopping Israel off the map, I don't see that as a realistic threat. Israel has always trumped Iran militarily. I don't see that changing anytime in the near future.

Yeah, just like the U.S and Al Qaeda, we'd never have to worry about some so militarily insignificant group ever say, killing a few thousand Americans on a Tuesday morning....

There are so many threats slapping us in the face, but many people simply insist on refusing to acknowledge them. Heads in the sand.

Well, Israel does have the advantage of not being the ones who armed the Iranians (or Al Qaeda) in the first place...

I don't think you can realistically equate 9/11 to Iran wiping Israel of the map. Israel is a nation of about 7.5 million people. Israel has nukes, the Iranians are trying to develop them. Israel has (IMO) possibly the most efficient military on the planet. Irans' military is dated and damn near obsolete by Western standards. I feel pretty confident in saying that the Israelis can defend themselves. I'd bet the mortgage that if Al-Queda tried to pull 9/11 in Israel, it would have failed miserably. They are better at internal security than we are.

Sure they could, as we could wipe the Middle East from the map. HOWEVER, that does not mean Iran could not drop a nuke on Israel tomorrow.
